This session will address the different requirements from country to country, financing, taxation, and labor and environmental regulations. Employers must consider the local laws of their international employees and the culture and expectations employees have from their high-tech employers. We will review how social and cultural expectations will affect the supplemental employer-provided benefits within high-tech companies. For example, while there is a National Health System (NHS) in the UK, how will this integrate with private employer-sponsored medical plans (PMI), which virtually all high-tech companies provide?
