Steve Cain joined UnitedHealthcare in 2007 where he's held numerous market leadership roles. He brings more than 20 years of industry leadership, sales & marketing expertise, and executive management experience to his role with the organization.
 
His current role as CEO of Northern California & President of California has him facilitating market-wide growth strategies that span across provider systems, consultants, distribution, sales, marketing, and alliances. He is also responsible for driving P&L stability across internal verticals including Public Sector, Small Group, Key Accounts. With a strong focus on talent retention and recruitment, he has developed a best-in-class culture that has allowed the California Market to see substantial growth. Steve has been a significant contributor to not only market share and growth but has increased the organization's footprint and reputation.
 
Steve currently lives in Danville, CA with his wife and two boys (ages 13 & 11). He's an avid runner, triathlete, and cyclist.
